Mark Burns-Williamson was elected to be the first Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire.
Mark Burns-Williamson lives in Castleford.
He has spent over twenty years working for both public and private sector organisations in West Yorkshire. Until recently Mark had been a Labour Councillor for Castleford Central and Glasshoughton Ward, a seat held since 1998. In the 2012 Honours List, he was awarded an OBE for services to the community and policing.
In his spare time, Mark is President of Glasshoughton Cricket Club, a passionate rugby league supporter and former rugby league player.
