Women’s Sector Resilience Fund
The Women’s Sector Resilience Fund has been created with the support of the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to safeguard the vital frontline jobs and support services of women’s organisations that have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in England.
Aims of the grant funding:
- Grants to support organisations providing services and support for vulnerable women, for which there is increased demand as a result of the Covid-19 crisis
- Grants to support organisations supporting women who experience disproportionate challenge and difficulty as a result of the Covid-19 crisis
- Grants to support organisations which connect communities and support communities to work together to respond to Covid-19
Lloyds Bank Foundation launches £7.4m fund for charities affected by Covid-19
Lloyds Bank Foundation has launched a £7.4 million Covid-19 fund aimed at supporting charities to recover beyond the immediate crisis. The fund will offer around 140 charities a two-year unrestricted grant of £50,000 alongside a development partner.
The fund is open to charities with an income between £25,000 and £1 million a year that are helping people overcome complex social issues such as dependency, homelessness and domestic abuse. A minimum of a quarter of this funding will go to charities that are led by and for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.

Covid-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme
The Covid-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme offers up to £100,000 in grant funding to help community-led organisations recover from Covid-19. For more information visit: https://www.powertochange.org.uk/get-support/programmes/covid-19-community-led-organisations-recovery-scheme/.
How to apply
The Covid-19 Community-Led Organisations Recovery Scheme will have three application rounds. Each round will have a short application window as we
expect a high level of demand.
Round One – Tuesday 28 July, 10am-1pm
Round Two – Tuesday 4 August, 10am-1pm
Round Three – Tuesday 11 August, 10am-1pm
When each round is open, you can apply on the Power to Change website: www.powertochange.org.uk. You must submit your application by 1pm for it to be valid.
Homelessness organisations affected directly by COVID-19 can now apply for funding of £5.5million in a second round of grants distributed by Homeless Link
The funding aims to provide emergency financial assistance to local homelessness organisations, preventing closure, service cuts or staff redundancies threatened by increased operational costs and a loss of fundraised income due to the Coronavirus. It will also support organisations that have needed to expand or adapt their services in light of COVID-19 to support people experiencing homelessness safely and effectively.

Council for Mosques launches £100,000 COVID-19 Mosque Support Fund
Bradford Council for Mosques (CfM) has earmarked £100,000 Mosque Support Fund in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This initial fund is available for mosques within the Bradford District that are in hardship to help with running and maintenance costs during the national lockdown and will be capped at £1,000 per application.
Sport England (England) - Community Emergency Fund
This new fund aims to help community sport and physical activity organisations who are experiencing short term financial hardship or the ceasing of operations due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis. Awards will be between £300 and £10,000. In exceptional circumstances Sport England will consider awards of more than £10,000.
Radio Aire Cash for Kids Appeal Application
Basic Essentials Family Grants are available to organisations seeking to help the individual families they work with affected by poverty due to the Covid-19 virus. £35 per child is available for children up to and including the age of 18 as soon as funds are available.
