Web chat on Neighbourhood Watch (25 Mar 2014)

What does the Police and Crime Commissioner plan to do to support Neighbourhood Watch schemes?

Does Neighbourhood Watch still have a role in the 21st century?

How do I find out if I live in a Neighbourhood Watch area?

Just some of the questions answered in the live web chat on Neighbourhood Watch run by Crime Prevention Officer, Chris Joyce and Police and Crime Commissioner, Mark Burns-Williamson on Monday night (24/03).

Mr Burns-Williamson said "Neighbourhood Watch is continuing to evolve and expand inWest Yorkshireand there is plenty of evidence of its positive impact and the involvement of Neighbourhood Watch volunteers is appreciated and crucial to its success. Members of the public really are the eyes and ears on a daily basis working with West Yorkshire Police and other organisations."

The web chat was well received with member of the public Chris Webber writing "Just wanted to say how interesting I am finding these interactive web chats. Great way for residents to keep in touch with police."
