West Yorkshire's PCC supports The Children's Society #LookCloser Campaign

In showing his support for the #LookCloser campaign launched by The Children's Society, West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Mark Burns-Williamson OBE said:

“Tackling child exploitation has always been a key priority within my Police and Crime Plan having been involved in numerous initiatives over the years to help raise awareness of the potential signs.

“We must take every opportunity to bring people’s attention to some of the possible indicators, which will allow authorities to take action against the perpetrators of these horrendous crimes.

“This is why I fully support the #LookCloser campaign by the Children’s Society, which draws particular focus to the fact that these offences can happen in plain sight often in very public places where we all have a role to play.

“Please take a look the material provided and take advantage of these important resources, which will help towards keeping our young people safe and feeling safe.”
